Nitish Kumar, who was elected MLA for the first time in 1985, is going to become the Chief Minister of Bihar for eight times.

Nitish Kumar became the Chief Minister of Bihar for the first time on 3 March 2000, but due to lack of majority, he had to resign after 7 days on 10 March.

Teish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the second time on 24 November 2005 and remained CM till 24 November 2010, completing his term.

The people of Bihar trusted Nitish Kumar even in the 2010 elections and he took over the reins of Bihar for the third time on 26 November 2010.

Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister for the fourth time on 22 February 2015, after resigning to Jitan Ram Manjhi. He remained in his post till 19 November 2015.

After winning the election 2015, Nitish took oath as the Chief Minister for the fifth time on 20 November 2015, but he left the RJD in the middle.

After separating from RJD, once again came with BJP. On 27 July 2017, took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the sixth time and completed the term.
