Jagdeep Dhankhar  elected new Vice President, NDA candidate registered a big victory, got 528  votes

He will be the 14th Vice President of the country. He will take oath of office on July 11. The tenure of the current Vice President Venkaiah Naidu is ending on August 10.

NDA candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar got 528 votes in Vice Presidential election, while opposition candidate Margaret Alva got 182 votes.

The term of the Vice President is five years. He can be re-elected. However, in the event of resignation, expulsion or death, his tenure automatically ends.
