Maruti Suzuki (Maruti's much-awaited) on Monday detailed the car to Alto K10 (Alto K10) car. This may be the big brother of the edit 800.

The starting price of Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 in India has been fixed at Rs 3.99 lakh ex-showroom. The price of the hatchback goes up to Rs 5.83 lakh (ex-showroom)

Customers willing to buy the car can book the new Alto K10 online or at an authorized dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000.

The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is powered by a new generation 1.0-litre K-Series dual-jet, dual VVT engine. The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated unit produces 66 bhp at 5,500 rpm

And generates 89 Nm torque at 3,500 rpm. This is the same engine that is also powered by the new Celerio, WagonR and S-Presso.

Apart from the AGS gearbox, the Maruti Suzuki engine is also mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine gives a mileage of 24.90 kmpl.

Some important changes have been made inside the cabin. The biggest among them is the SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Other features include remote key access, electrically adjustable ORVMs, steering mounted controls, etc.

Talking about safety features, it gets safety features like ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, speed sensing door lock etc.

The new Alto K10 is available in 6 different exterior color options. It includes Earth Gold, Sizzling Red, Speedy Blue, Solid White, Silky White and Granite Grey.

It measures 3,530 mm in length, 1,490 mm in width and 1,520 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,380 mm. The wheelbase is about 20 mm longer than the previous model.

Thanks to the new lightweight platform, the all-new 2022 Maruti Alto K10 will be bigger in size than the existing Alto with a fuel tank of 17-litre capacity, while the boot space is 177-litres.
